Do our quotes have to be from our books? Or do they have to relate and we have to justify their relation? Because there are some great ones in the front cover of my book and in other places.

Oh and Bon, How can you read so much? I mean doesnt it get a little old after a while? I dont know how you can do it, reading isnt all that fun to me i guess.

That's an honest question, Bryon. Reading helps me explore--worlds of someone else's imagination, corners of this world I've never seen, corners of this world I've never seen in this way, experiences, reflections, fears, emotions, etc. I like how I can read a several-hundred page book one time and have images and language from it return to me years later. I like the way writers have played with language. I like how, despite all the work and magic and glamor of books, they only reflect the brittle, fragile, fecund, lush vitality of real life. How's that for a start?

ugh... i give up on this thing. everytime i click to edit my page it asks me to create a new one. i WAS going to do my vocab for the book i am reading but now i guess i cant... =

k... atleast now i know that its not just my ANCIENT computer acting up again... lol ;] i have bonnell 1st hour and will try to talk to him about it then.

This is random but I think it is wierd how there are two different types of books, the new, crisp paged books and the aged color, corner creased books. I also find myself becoming interested in the older books. Just because of the way they look, you feel like you just have to read it because the book, the paper within the binding, has its own story to tell. Next time you crack a book, try to take note of this.

The fourth and fifth grade boys in my mom's library don't like the books!!! What (and this is to all guys) did you like to read at that age? Thanks

In being new to this wiki I am catching up on a bunch of old news. I was intrigued by Chloe's question of fourth and fifth grade boys. Is your mom a teacher? Librarian? When I was that age I am pretty sure I was reading all the Hardy Boys books I could get my hands on. I also distinctly remember reading-- Journey to the Center of the Earth, Around the World in 80 days, and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. ( all Jules Verne books containing sparatic illustrations throughout) I specifically remember reading Around the World in 80 Days in one day. First book I ever did this with. I checked it out from the Valley View library sometime during school, read it some in school, walked home reading it, read it on the way to my Grandma's in the car with my mom, and I remember laying on my Grandparents floor as I finished it. I remember it being the most fun I ever had reading a book. That was 16 years ago, and I had not thought about that book or that day in a very long time. It is very interesting--- Mr. Bonnells has been talking about how crazy book connections and things can be, and how great it is to have reading lists on blogs, and wiki's, and facebook---like he mentioned in class today about the 100 books to read. I haven't thought about one of the greatest times I ever had with a book in years, and I got to experience it all again just because I read a comment from Chloe, from December, asking a question about fourth and fifth grade boys, that was on Bonnsjuniorenglish wiki. Sick !

Typo- (I'm a little OCD about typos and it bugs me that I can't edit the comment i just left) I wrote Mr. Bonnells has been talking about. As if there could possibly be more than one.

In the fifth grade i had one of the highest reading levels of mostof the kids in my grade. for some reason books seemed to intrigue (sp) me more than they do now. i used to read for hours at a time at home and obsorb every bit of information that i had read now i just can't seem to get into a book to deeply without just reading fast and not comprehending it all.

Ok so the whole community thing isn't working to well for me on myspace so I am gonna try it here. You all know its part of the final! HELP

Wow Bonn, im suprised you kept our pages form last year up and running... it is rather interesting to look back and see how i thought last year and contemplate the differences and similarities between now and then... though i hate to admit it i am still a bit of a slacker... im doing my best to either keep up or get ahead in all my classes whenever possible, which most of the time i can do thanks to having 7th hour off. I might just keep on adding stuff on here... havent decided yet. I was mostly suprised i remembered my password since it is so random.... lol well i better get back to reading...
